Bazazz! A Sequined Variety – December 29 & 31 at Don’t Tell Mama NYC

BAZAZZ!
A SEQUINED VARIETY

STARRING RICK SKYE AS LIZA MINNELLI
Friday December 29 Special New Year’s Eve Performance

Bazazz! A Sequined Variety starring Rick Skye as Liza Minnelli will have twice the fun in December with two performances of the hit show of which In New York magazine said, “There’s a new sequined variety show in town that is a must see!”

The show features Skye’s impersonation as Liza Minnelli for which he won the 2017 MAC Award for Best Impersonation, special guests and the Kit Kat Boyz. Skye, who sings in his own voice, also writes all of the original material and Bistro Awards said, “Skye’s parody lyrics are literate and clever” while also saying, “The show is lively, varied, and comfortingly nostalgic.”

Bazazz! A Sequined Variety opened in October to a sold-out audience and the media is buzzing.

New York Social Diary said, “Rick Skye is the host with the most! Skye’s impersonation of Minnelli is sensitive, boisterous and moving although ‘impersonation’ is too banal a word for his affectionate, on-target work.”

Theater Pizzazz said, “Rick Skye has returned to Don’t Tell Mama’s and Manhattan is a better place for it.”

Nitelife Exchange said, “Get ready, get set, GO to Bazazz! A Sequined Variety.”

Skye is well-known in London and New York for having written and performed in a series of outrageously comic, award-winning shows including The Flip Side of Neil Sedaka, which earned him a Bistro Award, A Slice of Minnelli and The War of the Mama Roses. His show Its Madame with an E! played Atlantic City and Las Vegas and brought him to television where he appeared on Watch What Happens, Live With Andy Cohen and Celebrity Apprentice as well as Fox & Friends and the WB.
