For 29 years, Black & Blue has been a renowned event within the North American party world. Always a pillar of the house music scene for gay and gay-friendly participants, this festival represents a true cult that continues to attract Canadian, American and European fans. This year, the Black & Blue features an incredible array of the best local and international artists and DJs such as The Cube Guys from Italy, the singer Celeda performing her best remixed hits such ‘Music is the Answer’ and ‘Be Yourself’, DJ Angel Moraes, DJ Hex Hector, and Montrealers DJ Alain Jackinsky and DJ Jonny Marciano, just to name a few. The Black & Blue theme of this year is MASK!
Venetian, carnival and all kinds of masks are emblematic of the 2019 Black & Blue theme. The BBCM team was inspired for the 29th edition of the festival, to present a grandiose and theatrical ambiance. It is with this in mind that our creative team will be able to entertain you for the main event at Olympia Theatre in an opulent, warm and sensual atmosphere. Wear your most beautiful masks and “zorros” and come dance to the rhythms of the best DJ’s from Montreal and elsewhere with the renowned singer CELEDA as our headliner entertainment, thus honoring the renowned production quality of the Black & Blue Festival on the international scene. This is the first time since 1991 that BBCM Foundation is proposing a masquerade theme! It’s going to be a lot of fun. For the second part, it will be at Club Soda after-hours.

The first part of the main event will take place at the Olympia Theater in Montreal, one of the most precious jewels of Montreal’s cultural and architectural heritage. A spectacular hall that will be used for the first time by the BBCM Foundation in 29 years.

The Black & Blue Karaoke Party will take place at Club Date. It offers its customers the best karaoke experience among hundreds of thousands of songs. The contribution is voluntary and there will be several draws of prizes. Evening hosted by Olivier de Maisonneuve.

The ever popular Black & Blue Annual Leather Ball, sponsored by the main partner of the evening, Sauna G.I. JOE, will be held at the beautiful Cabaret Lion d’Or. This is one of the few cabarets of the 30s to survive in Montreal. The special theme for this evening is Sexy Polaroïd (on-site presence of a Polaroid booth).
