Building a Legacy of Love: The Sunday Afternoon Foundation Launches to Create Joyful Creative and Inclusive World for All

The Sunday Afternoon Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Luis Gramajo and Hans Schrei, is excited to announce its official launch. The foundation aims to empower individuals, brands, and communities to create Safe Spaces, fostering inclusivity, dialogue, and personal growth. By leveraging research, education, community development, and media production, the Sunday Afternoon Foundation seeks to make a positive social impact and contribute to a more united and understanding society.

Luis Gramajo and Hans Schrei, co-founders of the Sunday Afternoon Foundation, draw inspiration from their personal journey as immigrants and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Having left their home country of Guatemala for Austin, Texas, they found their Safe Space and experienced a transformative change in their perspective. This realization led them to establish the Sunday Afternoon Foundation, with the belief that sharing the joy they found can create Safe Spaces for others to express their authentic selves.

The Sunday Afternoon Foundation operates through four pillars: Research + Education, Community Development + Propagation, Media Development + Production, and Purposeful Commerce Development. Under these pillars, the foundation conducts rigorous academic research, focusing on the concept of Safe Spaces, their propagation, and the role of media, brands, and celebrities in shaping inclusive environments.

Through community development and propagation efforts, the Sunday Afternoon Foundation seeks to empower individuals and organizations to establish purposeful communities aligned with their causes. By providing tools, frameworks, and support, the foundation aims to foster strong, purpose-driven communities worldwide.

The foundation’s media development and production initiatives focus on leveraging the power of media for positive social impact. By creating and promoting media content that promotes inclusivity and understanding, the Sunday Afternoon Foundation aims to inspire and engage audiences in conversations that bridge differences.

One of the Sunday Afternoon Foundation’s key goals is to encourage purposeful commerce development, emphasizing the role of brands in shaping the cultural conversation. The foundation believes that brands, regardless of their size, have the power and responsibility to foster inclusivity and create Safe Spaces. By partnering with brands, the Sunday Afternoon Foundation aims to champion acceptance and unity.

The launch of the Sunday Afternoon Foundation has received support from Logictry, a company dedicated to promoting better logic and peaceful decision-making. As part of their commitment, Logictry is providing a 15K technology and impact support match to help the foundation scale its tools and initiatives. Through their Choice of the Day Logic.Wiki Campaign, Logictry will highlight the foundation’s work and collect valuable data on supporting Safe Spaces.

Chelsea Toler, Chief Impact Officer of Logictry, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Now is the time to equip people with the tools, technologies, and communities necessary to make better decisions. We are thrilled to partner with the Sunday Afternoon Foundation to deliver safe spaces and accessibility to logic. With better tools, together we can build a better home for everyone.”

The Sunday Afternoon Foundation invites everyone to join in supporting their launch and fundraising efforts. The foundation aims to raise 15K to continue the work of creating Safe Spaces in the United States and beyond. By fostering Safe Spaces for innovation, impact, and love, the foundation envisions a more united and inclusive America.
