Downtown Cult-Comic Molly “Equality” Dykeman To Premiere New Solo Show at FRIGID New York

MOLLY’S WORLD
February 14 – March 3 at UNDER St. Marks

“Molly Dykeman is much funnier–and butcher–than Larry the Cable Guy…She’s a scream! Molly for Lez-ident!” – Michael Musto, Village Voice

“You had me at shant. You just had me at shant…Your comedy is brilliant.” – Leslie Jordan, Emmy Award Winner for Will & Grace

“Mark my words, get in on this action now, before she’s playing the Garden.” – Velvet Park Media

“Power to the Mullet!” finds Molly (an improv-curious sketch comedy creation of the voraciously versatile Andrea Alton) tackling abominations…Like the nachos Molly consumes with reckless abandon, you’ll soon find yourself acquiring a taste for that poetry, and going all bullish on this daffy and defiant dyke.” – Gay City News

“Actress and comedian Andrea Alton plays the role of Molly. She is wonderful on stage, nailing the part yet somehow still giving her character a uniquely hysterical twist.” – Woman Around Town

“In the words of Molly: “God maketh you the way he fuckin’ wants to maketh you,” so prepare for a heaping serving of love and female empowerment… Alton, who wrote the piece as well, reveals a character reminiscent of one Chris Farley would embody: vulgar, awkward, lovable, and completely lost.” – Theatre Is Easy

“It’s her commitment to the character, along with her wonderful comic timing, that makes her shows a pleasure to watch.” – Gay Theatre NYC

“Molly Dykeman has the mind of a child genius, the mouth of a moron, and a haircut that looks like Chewbacca got a perm. And she just may be the smartest person in the room.”  – Provincetown Magazine

Comic and award-winning playwright Andrea Alton brings her new solo-show, Molly’s World, to FRIGID New York.

The comedic lovefest Molly’s World premieres at Frigid New York on February 14 at UNDER St. Marks. The limited runs stars Andrea Alton as downtown cult favorite, Molly “Equality” Dykeman, and is directed by Mark Finley (Artistic Director of TOSOS, New York’s oldest LGBTQ theatre).
