Gay Wine Weekend Sonoma to Expand to a Full Week

A Week of Wine & Celebration in California Wine Country
To Benefit Face to Face, Sonoma County HIV/AIDS NETWORK

Out in The Vineyard is proud to announce GAY WINE WEEK 2020 in California Wine Country.

After 8 years of Gay Wine Weekend, Out in the Vineyard expanded the event to a full week-long celebration benefiting Face to Face, Sonoma County HIV/AIDS Network.

Gay Wine Week now includes a full week of LGBT events in Northern California’s magnificent Sonoma & Napa Valleys – home to some of the world’s most prestigious wine & wineries. Celebrate with world class wine and culinary delights, VIP receptions, wine tasting excursions, a champagne brunch, gay wine auction, and T Dance at California’s iconic Chateau St. Jean Winery, the weekend’s signature event.

The week will commence on Thursday, July 16, 2020 and run through Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in and around Sonoma Valley.

“It has been a goal of mine to turn Gay Wine Weekend into a full week of activities as there is so much to experience in Wine Country” says Owner Gary Saperstein. While the weekend focuses on larger scale events the weekdays events will be focused on smaller groups discovering the region. “Come and enjoy a full week in Wine Country or extend your stay after the weekend to enjoy more of this beautiful region.”

An evening of Gay Comedy will kick-off the weekend on Thursday, July 16th with wine and laughter at a local Sonoma Valley Winery while the Sunday Drag Queen Recovery Brunch & Wine Auction will once again raise funds for Face to Face.

Chateau St. Jean Winery once again will host the Twilight T-Dance, the signature event of the week.  This year Out In The Vineyard and Treasury Wine Estates that owns Chateau St. Jean are upping their game with bringing in a number of wines from their portfolio to pour at the dance including Beringer, BV, Sterling, Provenance, Etude and more. The VIP reception will present a selection of their 90+point wines exclusively.

Look for a Sonoma Plaza Tasting Room Walk during the weekday along with intimate and exclusive Winery Tours including a Russian River Wine Tour led by marriage equality plaintiff, Jim Obergefell, co-owner of Equality Vines in Guerneville.

Gay Wine Week is sponsored by Chateau St. Jean Winery, Sotheby’s International Realty, The Lodge at Sonoma Resort & Spa and American Airline.

Advance VIP Weekend Blind Tasting Passes are now available.
