LGBT Week NYC 2017 Spotlight – LGBT New Media Symposium – May 18, 2017

As LGBT Week NYC continues to take shape in the weeks ahead, we’ll be featuring key events coming to you in New York City May 15-19, 2017, a dynamic and exciting series of symposia, conferences, workshops and events, sponsored by Rivendell Media and Argentina Tourism.

The LGBT New Media Symposium is a new addition to LGBT Week NYC this year… running from 8:30 am to 1:45 pm (including lunch) on Thursday, May 18, 2017, this morning’s sessions include a variety of highly impactful presentations around the theme of LGBT influencers, together with digital media and how this combination can impact your business in an incredibly positive way.

Starting with Davey Wavey and Trouve Ivo, we’ll be exploring “Is Influencer Marketing Right For You?”, presented by one of the true leaders and pioneers in LGBT influencer marketing.  Nick Suell from Los Angeles’ Intent & Impact Co. will then jump into the concepts of “A New Social Paradigm – Navigating New Narratives in Media”, where she’ll be discussing how the various elements of influencer and social media marketing come together into a genuinely new type of framework, and how they play out in media.

Matt Skallerud of Pink Banana Media will be covering some of the ins & outs of Twitter (and Instagram) marketing, including understanding the language of #hashtags and profile connections, and how being engaged and interactive on this platform can make a real difference in your company’s success online.

New this year to LGBT Week NYC is Matt Martin, who will be talking to us about what a Twitter Takeover is, and how it’s done, with various case studies presented along the way.  Josh Rimer, a leader in online video, will be doing a presentation on YouTube marketing in the LGBT community in 2017, and then immediately after, jump onto what should be a very engaging and dynamic panel on “LGBT Influencers – How to Evaluate Partnership Opportunities and Structure Them for Success!”  Led by Man About World’s Billy Kolber, this panel will include Davey Wavey and Trouve Ivo, along with Josh Rimer.  New to LGBT Week NYC will be Ravi Roth from Ravi Around The World and Arielle Scarcella, one of the leading lesbian “New Media” leaders in the world today.  Rounding out this panel will be Alexander Kacala from Hornet, the associate editor of the new Hornet Stories, as well as our sponsor for this morning’s events.
