Relationship Enables Ambitious “Do Good, Do Well” Funded Start-up, to Be Issue Thought Leader on Intersection of CBD and Queer Women Sex
Casey Tanner has a story that’s almost too intriguing to believe; daughter of a pastor, forced to sign a written vow to heterosexuality as a freshman at a conservative, Midwestern, religious college, fell in love with another women and when on to become a national spokeswoman on queer sex. Ms. Tanner is a self-confessed “Revel” With A Cause preaching radical self love to queer women in a society that breeds self doubt.
CBD has for a while, played a significant role in helping Casey Tanner keep her own life in balance and helping her find her inner calm; that experience and Out & About CBD’s unique “do good, do well” mission to enhance wellness in the LGBTQ community, helped to create an organic path to her new part time role as Queer Wellness Counselor to Out & About CBD.
The new position provides an elevated podium to highlight to members of the LGBTQ community and especially queer women, the importance of “Loving Every Day” and specifically how plant-based CBD can play a key role. Ms. Tanner will author bylines, participate in podcasts and proactively be engaged with the press to highlight the sexual and life challenges of queer women especially and how among other avenues, CBD can help play a role.
Ms. Tanner is the Clinical Director at Practical Audacity, an LGBTQ focused, sex therapy clinic in Chicago. She is a licensed professional counselor who received her masters degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and also accrued additional training in sex therapy from the University of Michigan. She specializes in working with individuals and couples in the LGBTQ community on concerns related to sex, gender, transition, relationships, anxiety, depression and disordered eating. In her role with Out & About she will discuss a variety of topics at the intersection of CBD and queer sex therapy including masturbation, desire discrepancy, and the importance of sex toys.
