Palm Springs Pride 2022 – Recap in Video

by Colby Jones

With 2022’s theme #SayGay announced this year as a challenge to fight extremism at the ballot box, Palm Springs Pride 2022 and the parade became both a celebration and a protest, bringing this year’s Pride back to its roots.

A traditional slate of in-person Pride events was scheduled for the 36th annual LGBTQ+ celebration on November 4 – 6, and the Pride parade and festival featured multiple stages of live entertainment and an exhibitor marketplace in downtown Palm Springs.

Producer/Host Nicholas Snow and his guest co-hosts Jonathan Mugridge, Delfina Zarate and Clifton Tatum once again brought the Palm Springs Pride Parade to life, streaming on the social media platforms of PromoHomo.TV®. They also included in-person live commentary, with the foursome found along the parade route in their official broadcast booth in front of EIGHT4NINE Restaurant and Lounge at 849 N. Palm Canyon Drive.

Pride Week, presented by the City of Palm Springs, is the largest annual event in Palm Springs. It’s also the largest gathering of LGBTQ+ people in the Coachella Valley and the Greater Palm Springs area. In 2021, Pride Week attracted over 160,000 attendees and generated a significant $30 million economic impact for area hotels, shops, restaurants, and other local businesses. Favorite bars and local businesses packed and spilled out onto the streets, both in 2021 and this year’s event, bringing the biggest LGBTQ+ street party to the Greater Palm Springs region.
